a small piece of scotch tape over chip, this will help prevent
contaminates from entering. |

The size, location, and condition of the stone
chip are important considerations in determining weather it
can be repaired. A windshield CAN NOT be repaired

The damage is larger than one square inch (About the size
of a quarter) |

The stone chip is in the drivers acute vision area (12 inch
X 12 inch area directly in front of the driver |

The stone chip has an outside pit larger than 3/8 inch |

The damage penetrates both the outside and inside layers of
the windshield |

The stone chip is on the inside layer of the windshield |

| • |
The stone chip has contaminates that can not be removed by
cleaning |

The damage has had a previous repair attempted |

The windshield has special features such as solar coating
or electric heating |
